This, Tomorrow

This is happening tomorrow,
I’m visiting this car.
It’s been Months…
In the making, I guess, not so much the making.
More so, the car Not being in the country and not having the time to shoot it.
We’ve set a date,
Have the car,
Have a location,
And I can’t wait to see it.

I’ll even try and see if it will accept my cast leg, when I try squeeze myself into the cockpit.

There is only the one image that I have on my laptop of the race car,
There is plenty more on my ExHD,
but hop / skipping / crawling / falling down the stairs isn’t high on my list to do multiple times per day.

I do hope to have this cast off my leg by next weekend to follow DMNZ to Taupo for another one of their awesome track days, this time on Track Two.

So i’ll leave you with a shot of what I’ve been excited about for Months.

Can you guess what it is?

RE180

It’s always refreshing to see people doing something different in the drifting scene.
Drifting has been around for so many years, and I’ve been following drifting since at least 2003/4.
Nissan being the turn to chassis, here and around the world.

Everything has been done, so doing something different, like I said is refreshing.
What stood out to me in a field of nissan was the subtle sound this 180 made.
Although this is nothing extreme or crazy, this 180 doesn’t sit on the deck, isn’t massively stanced or have 500hp.

What it does have though,

Is a 13BT.

‘Full Throttle’ Manukau

Ended up going for a look-see at the show at Telstra clear stadium today.
Car shows don’t really tickle my balls.
This one didn’t either.

This bike stand was one of the coolest displays of the day, i’m sure.
I really like nz built specials.

I only had my 50 with me, so I worked with that.
I find that I can never get Anything in full crisp and clear focus with it.
Being a manual focus doesn’t help much, but I do like it.

Mikes RX7 was there.

A Hand clutch and shifter on a Harley Davidson,

The one other cool display of the day, Allan Moffats Group A RX7 replica.
The build quality was so amazing.
Running a carb’d 13b that first turned over only a few days ago.

This replica is running 17×9 wheels instead of the 16’s Moffat ran due to tyres costing more,
Arrow wheels did a awesome job with these.

Erron Soon was there, being a Baws charging round firing shots off.

The Jerks were there,
Running their shit,

And winning some shit too.

In all over exposed and un-composed goodness is crazy lady yelling at people about stuff.
*shrug*

Another bike stand, this was a club.

I liked this colour, is all.

There was also some drifting. Which was pretty much burn outs in a car park….
That’s all i have to say about that.

I have a few more pictures that I’ll properly dump over the coming weeks.

Hope you enjoyed

=)

Tigosaurus

First night proper tigging tonight.
Was pretty cool, my old man, Garry, said if you can gas weld you can Tig weld.
I forgot how to gas weld. Tig welding is so much more specific and more forgiving than gas.

I caught on pretty easy so that was cool.

Our tig is a lincoln V205T, it has so many buttons and knobs.

More welding tomorrow!

S15 on film

Here is a shot of a S15 heading towards the down hill hairpin at Hampton Downs.

It looks kind of like it was taken at around 1/80th or 1/100th, 200 iso, unknown aperture.
